Snapchat's Monetization Program rewards established Creators with a share of ad revenue from ads served between Snaps in their Public Stories and within Spotlight. It is invitation-only: Snap regularly reviews Creators and emails an invite to those who qualify — there's no application form and Snap never charges for an invitation. To be eligible you generally need at least 50,000 followers, 15,000 hours of view time over the last 28 days (with at least 3,000 from Spotlight), Snap Star verification, and to be 18+ in an eligible country posting original, advertiser-friendly content. Ads are served mainly based on how long Snapchatters watch your content, Spotlight videos must be at least a minute long to earn, and creators can cash out a minimum of $100 daily from the in-app Payout Portal.

You can't apply — Snap invites you, so keep your account email current. Build toward 50K followers and the 15,000-hour / 3,000-Spotlight-hour view-time bar over a rolling 28 days, get Snap Star verified, and make Spotlight videos at least 1 minute (shorter ones don't earn). From May 7, 2026, keeping 100+ hours of Total Spotlight View Time over the last 28 days is required for maximum Creator Rewards.

Payout Model

Snapchat posts ads between Snaps in a Public Story or within a Spotlight, and Creators in the program receive a share of revenue. Invitation-only. Ads are served primarily based on how much time Snapchatters spend watching your Stories and Spotlights. Creators can cash out a minimum of $100 daily via the in-app Payout Portal.

Common reasons for rejection

Did not receive an invitation — the program is strictly invite-based and no third party controls eligibility
